Common questions
The questions most often put to our office and general explanations regarding them. If you cannot find the answer you are looking for, you can reach us through the contact form.
At the first meeting we assess the legal nature of your file, the documents you hold and the remedies that may be available. The meeting may be held in person at our office or, for clients located outside the city, arranged online. We recommend bringing any contracts, notifications, formal notices and correspondence relating to the matter.
A power of attorney is issued before any notary public. At the notary it is sufficient to state our office details and the type of power of attorney appropriate to your file. Certain matters, such as divorce and criminal files, require a power of attorney bearing a photograph; we will tell you which type is needed during the meeting.
Every significant development in your file, together with hearing dates and court decisions, is communicated to you. You may also contact the lawyer handling your file directly.
Yes. Our office handles files before courts and enforcement offices throughout Türkiye. Attendance at hearings, proceedings conducted through the UYAP system and, where required, the SEGBİS application make this possible.
The duration of proceedings varies according to the type of case, the court's workload, the state of the evidence and whether an expert examination is required. It is therefore not possible to state a definite period in advance. Once your file has been reviewed, a general expectation based on comparable proceedings can be shared.
For a significant proportion of employment claims and reinstatement requests, commercial cases and disputes arising from lease relationships, applying to a mediator before bringing an action is a procedural precondition. If this step is omitted, the case is dismissed on procedural grounds.
The period varies according to the type of notification. For example, the period for objecting to an enforcement payment order is seven days, while the period for bringing an action against an administrative act is, as a rule, sixty days. Since these periods may be forfeiture deadlines, it is important to obtain legal support without delay after receiving a notification.
The legal fee is determined by reference to the nature, scope and duration of the work, within the framework of the Attorneyship Act and the minimum fee tariff of the relevant bar association, and is recorded in writing in an attorneyship agreement signed between the parties. Under the applicable legislation, no fee schedule is published on our website; fee information is shared during the meeting.
No. Litigation costs such as court fees, notifications, expert examinations and site inspections are separate from the legal fee and are paid into the court's account as the file progresses. These costs are notified to you separately before the file is opened.
Persons who lack the financial means to bring an action may apply to the legal aid office of the bar association to which they belong and request a lawyer free of charge. In addition, judicial assistance may be requested from the court in order to obtain temporary exemption from litigation costs.
